The moment I saw this, my nose and eyes started watering. It's like she's protecting him, as he's out fighting for freedom.

Thank you for posting this. My fiance is a Marine currently over in Afghanistan, and this photograph hits home for me.

Hello.
Let me just say that I made this a favorite a few years ago when I was with a man in the military. Since then we had a falling out and haven't really spoken up until a few months ago, and now I'm flying out to see him before he's deployed to Iraq for the second time. This picture came up in my random favorites and it brought tears to my eyes, just like the first time I saw it while browsing. I don't know if you're still over there somewhere but I just wanted to say thank you for all that you do. Heroes like those in the military are few and far between. When I go to see my friend, I will make sure he sees this picture. He'll appreciate it just as much as I do.

My husband left 3 days ago for Afghanistan. This picture brings tears to my eyes. You're photography captures angles of deployment that not many of us get to see. I find myself looking at the places in your photos and wondering if maybe I get to see a little piece of my own husband's world. Thank you for taking time to embrace the emotions of that experience with your photos.
