I shot this out the back of a CH47 Chinook on a supply run in Afghanistan, the two helicopters you can see are an AH64 Apache (on the left coming out of the dust cloud) and another Chinook on the right.

P.S.
Don't mind the grain

whoa! badass. i love the buildings in the foreground.
that is so cool. the buildings look like tiny sandcastles or something. the grain doesn't take away from the shot at all for me.

i just can't get over how small the buildings look in comparison to the mountains in the background. they don't look real.

thats a great picture, i really like the grainness it adds a element to the pic
Afghanistan is beautiful. Pity really.
Is that entire dust cloud from that Apache?
Great work!

Question, where were you taking this picture?
Nicely done, but why is your ISO set on 800?

When trouble arises and things look bad, there is always one
individual who perceives a solution and is willing to take command. Very often, that individual is an idiot.
Very nice. I think the grain makes the picture look aged, and gives it a more salty look, like it's been there and done that or something :). And, wow, that dust cloud looks huge.
I LIKE the grain, as it gives it an artsy sorta feel to it. Tell me, did the helicopter *cause* all that dust? It's amazing!

The ISO was on 800 accidentally from a previous shot, and I didn't notice it for most of the flight. Hence all the grain in this one.
