Here's the full update
***10AUG06*** I've hosted the best quality version of the theater ad I can find here
www.warriorswithwrenches.com/s…***08AUG06*** The National Guard theater ad is out! See
www.military.com/features/0,15… for the press release. Some of the footage I shot made it in. They did an outstanding job editing/scoring as well. Watch for it in the theaters, I'll post a link when I find one ***
***MARCH06***After doing odds and ends with the National Guard for most of last year while finishing up most of the last bits of school, I finally landed in a position to film and edit various videos on the civilian side. At the same time, I was selected to be a cameraman on their upcoming film campaign that will feature a brief "trailer" like film to be shown in theaters, showcasing the Guard's homeland role. I got to attend a week of training in Hollywood with their hired agency, which included a workshop at Panavision using their super-swank Panavised Sony F900 HD cameras.
So far I've filmed some helicopter footage and interviews. I can't wait to see which, if any, of my shots end up in the final product.
The new job had me moving half way across the country, which has been quite an interesting change of pace. At the same time I transferred out of the Army National Guard into the Air Force National Guard, so I'll be attending a few months of training later this year. Figured since I was going to be making videos for the Army as a civilian, might as well get the benefits of the Air Force side of the military
.
I'm still in the process of moving, and will be off to the training later this year, but I'll continue to post here and there. I'll be updating the "Scrap" section with some behind the scenes photos from the last shoot I was at (filming at the Golden Gate bridge).
P.S.
***21MAR06*** I finished a trailer for my "documentary" that I filmed while on my deployment. The link is in the poll
