The Fallen Soldier Ceremony
As a soldier, I'm inclined to tell soldier stories, and my passion is in the video realm. If you've clicked on the photo of me with the camera, then you may have seen the link to this short video I did for a fallen Special Forces soldier in Afghanistan www.warriorswithwrenches.com/f… . As I watch the current events in Falluja, I am reminded of it again and the fact that there will be more of these ceremonies in the near future. The link to this soldier's particular story is here: www.groups.sfahq.com/20th/wood… . The ceremony speaks volumes to the character of the man, with an entire camp lining up to pay respects. It was hard (emotionally) just to edit the footage, but I think it is appropriate for people to see just that, the emotions of those who can be so easily demonized, and I think that we are lucky to be able to use technology to bring individual stories to life and share them. I pray that the push to quell the insurgency goes well.
I wanted to thank you all again for seeing past any "politics" of the situation and just appreciating those who choose to be of service when called. That is all a soldier can hope for. I wish the best for those of you that have love ones deployed or on their way.

When I was notified that I would be deploying again, I wasn't so much excited as to my actual job (which is definitely kick-ass), but that I would be able to film again our s

Just got back from the Los Angeles premiere of "Blade Runner: Final Cut" in all it's, remastered GLORY. It's playing at the Landmark theater here in LA and some other theater in New York for a couple weeks.
The VFX supervisor and remastering project coordinator along with Alan Ladd Jr. (who greenlighted this as well as Star Wars and Aliens etc.) were there as well.
For fans of the film, they did a spectacular job with the remastered scenes and especially with the audio--Vangelis sounded brilliant--it was awesome. The upcoming re-releases on DVD (and the HD variants) should prove to be crowd pleasers.

Prints
I noticed the print sales picking up recently, if you purchased one and get this journal, I'd love to hear how they look, whether they could use some refinement at whatever size you purchased them at (via comment to this journal or private note).
Either way I hope you like it!
I'm still dealing with my transfer from Army to Air Guard and a move across the country, but I'll be keeping an eye out for photogenic moments.
Happy holidays everyone!
